RE: bluetooth audio
I think I figured this out, mostly. Using instructions here: http://ubuntuforums.org/showpost.php?p=7281983&postcount=11 I installed latest blueman, pulseaudio, and pulseaudio-plugin-bluetooth. Blueman replaced the gnome bluetooth applet and left it as a black box icon, so I logged out and logge...

RE: Multitouch?
I just realized that two finger scroll is working. I don't know if it started working before or after I upgraded the xinput synaptics driver. I had a while ago followed the instructions here: http://ubuntu-snippets.blogspot.com/2009/03/multi-touch-for-anyall-synaptics.html turns out that my fingers ...

RE: Multitouch?
Looks like the older kernels always set double and triple tap. 2.6.28: 543 set_bit(EV_KEY, dev->evbit); 544 set_bit(BTN_TOUCH, dev->keybit); 545 set_bit(BTN_TOOL_FINGER, dev->keybit); 546 set_bit(BTN_TOOL_DOUBLETAP, dev->keybit); 547 set_bit(BTN_TOOL_TRIPLETAP, dev->keybit); 2.6.30: 540 set_bit(EV_K...

RE: Multitouch?
Voria, I assume you are running your 2.6.31 kernel? Maybe that makes a difference? (I am running Ubuntu's 2.6.28)
Does multitouch work for you on the newer kernel or does it make no difference?

bluetooth audio (mostly solved)
How do I play music through bluetooth? If I understand the icons under bluetooth preferences correctly, I have the device paired. I have also modified my .asoundrc as follows: cout@sapphire:~$ cat .asoundrc pcm.bluetooth { type bluetooth device <address of device as given by "hcitool dev">...

RE: Multitouch?
A little more information. Reading here: http://who-t.blogspot.com/2009/04/synaptics-11-and-what-your-touchpad-can.html indicates that the additional fingers are not detected through the multifinger mechanism but through two additional buttons (double and triple). So I installed the latest synaptics...

RE: Multitouch?
I really don't care about two finger scroll; I just want two-finger paste (middle mouse button). I'm used to this working out of the box on other laptops. Now from what I've read on other forums the NC10 SE does not have multitouch. I don't have the SE, just the regular NC10. I have been able to get...
