yeaahhhhhh, i have the solution i had to add Option "RegistryDwords" "EnableBrightnessControl=1" in the Section "Device" in my /etc/X11/xorg.conf now i can change the brightness by the normal brightnes-applet but not by fn-up/down - do you have an idea to fix this issue...

sorry, i have not wrote it clearly. i ment my wired-lan. this is 07:00.0 Ethernet controller: Marvell Technology Group Ltd. Device 4381 (rev 11) which is only supported in the 33-kernel (sometimes i also need wired lan) the wireless works perfect out of the box, i can even turn it on and off with fn...

hi, the fn-release works great with the udev-package. what not works is the brightnesscontrol and the CPU-fan which worked before by using the applet. maybe the cpufan issue has sth to do with the normal ubuntu-update i did today or have you made an update of the samsung-tools which maybe influenced...
