Linux On My Samsung

Hi there, Is it still recommended to install laptop-mode-tools in ubuntu 10.10 as it requires HAL and afaik HAL has been removed and replaced in recent ubuntu versions ? Correct me if I am wrong. A second question would be how do I enabled the CPU undervolting in Maverick Meerkat ? I am using a Sams...
