On the NF210, this just removes the functionality of the brightness buttons. In other words, without the line it would at least bring up the dialog. It now takes no action. If your blue buttons are going crazy, did you edit the files to put the polling for your netbook? http://ubuntuforums.org/show...

In fact, writing in /sys/class/backlight/samsung/brightness works in a console (outside X), it's only under X that something seems to force the brightness to either 0 or 7, nothing between!
