Linux On My Samsung

any netbook users out there using samsungs with linux? I've an N350 that is suffering all sorts of file system corruptions and major stability issues. Installed Debian but have tried Ubuntu too. Very unstable, now all applications core dump including apt as root.... Lots of "abort" message...

My hdd keeps corrupting in my N350 netbook. OS is Debian 6 with ext3 on root. If the battery runs out and the system dies the whole FS corrupts every single time. It's a real killer. Thinking maybe it's the disk. It's not normal for the whole system to be taken out so badly by a crash / unclean shut...

Anyone know the chipset that the N350 uses. Is it supported under debian? Just done a fresh install and no wifi. Can someone identify the chipset plz.
