according to this, the linux kernel 2.6.39 contains a driver for samsung note- and netbooks. Is this connected to your work, voRia? Does this make installing the ubuntu ppa obsolete once one has a 2.6.39 kernel?

Mmh, I tried running a Ubuntu 10.04 netbook edition from a USB stick, but the power consumption was the same as with natty. However, I could not reduce the display brightness because the samsung-tools weren't installed. Maybe I should try to run an older kernel with natty directly, or do a parallel ...

Hi, yesterday I have received a Samsung N145-Plus JP01 and directly installed linux (lubuntu 11.04, 64bit) on it.
