Re: New application's coming: Samsung Tools!

I helped a bit, translating to German. Thank you. ;) @voria: what do you mean with "kernel module to be managed" ? I do not understand very well^^ It's the kernel module managed (inserted/removed) when wireless toggle method in use is 'module'. It's useful for netbooks where using iwconfi...

Re: Introduce yourself here!

Hey, I'm Jonathan from Germany and the first time i've used Linux (better: Ubuntu) was in 2008. After buying the best Netbook in the world... (of course the nc10 :D), i tried to tune Ubuntu that way, that the netbook was faster and needed less energy. I found voria's repository and a dream got real ...

Re: [NC10] Kernel 2.6.31

Okay. Gparted now resizes my Filesystem-Partition (everything except /home) from 8 GB to 15 GB.
I hope, that the updates work, later on.

Now my question is: Do I have to install these two packages you mentioned some posts before? Or do I have to download other packages, after the resizing?

Re: [NC10] Kernel 2.6.31

But then I have to configure my whole Ubuntu-system, haven't I? I never understood how to backup a Ubuntu-system (i only know how to backup data, but not an operating system.)
So, I dont know, how to backup the whole system...

I try Gparted, first. Then we'll see...^^

Re: [NC10] Kernel 2.6.31

Ohh, okay... How can I solute that problem?
May I use GParted and then make my "home-Partition" smaller?
Or how can I do that without loosing my files?

Thank you for telling me, what the problem was:D

Re: [NC10] Kernel 2.6.31

Another thing. As I cannot install the new kernel-stuff, VirtualBox reclaims that there is an error compiling the kernel. See: Error! Your kernel source for kernel 2.6.31-11-generic cannot be found at /lib/modules/2.6.31-11-generic/build or /lib/modules/2.6.31-11-generic/source. You can use the --ke...

Re: [NC10] Kernel 2.6.31

Yeah, I have an error. When I tried to install sudo dpkg -i linux-headers-2.6.31-11-lpia_2.6.31-11.38~ppa1~nc10~jaunty_lpia.deb my Netbook wasn't able to get it from your repository and neither could get access to your website. Well, I dowloaded it manually from your-launchpad-site (/pool/main/linux...

Re: [NC10] Kernel 2.6.31

I tried "update" and "dist-upgrade" but when I do "sudo apt-get dist-upgrade" then the terminal tell me that "linux-headers-2.6.31-11-lpia" cannot be installed and that the package "nc10-kernel" depends on " linux-headers-2.6.31-11-generic"...
