About new samsung tools (with samsung-laptop)

Post by fanys12 »

Hi voria,
at first, thank you for update. Thanks to you, i can work with free software.
When i had updated to new version, installed samsung-laptop and removed easy-slow-down manager, these bugs appeard:
-wireless cannot be disabled - yes , if i press Fn + F9, system will disconnect me from wi-fi, but, LED is still lighting and hardware adapter active (i can't connect to wi-fi, but wi-fi consumes energy)
-cpu fan control is not avaible

Sorry for my bad English, i am native czech speaker.
Tested on Ubuntu 12.04 alpha 1. (but on oneiric - it was same)
And once again, thank you for your software, you rock!

The 'samsung-laptop' module currently available on the main PPA supports only a restrict number of laptop models.

Please test the new 'samsung-laptop' available on my testing repository.

Thank you, everything works correctly now!
But, 1 bug appeared. Sometimes, if i disable wi-fi and i want enable it once again, it writes me something like wireless cannot be enabled (but LED diod on netbook starts to light). I have to disable it and enable it once again.
Thank you!
