close netbook has no effect

I set up my ubuntu (on Samsung NP220) to go to suspend-to-disc-mode (hybernation 3? S3?).
But it does nothing. The close-netbook-event is not fired.
Maybe it is something with your packages? I have only installed the samsung-tools currently. Maybe anotherone would help here?
btw: The suspend-to-ram-mode (S2?) work fine.
