You're right, there must have been some leftover from your repository.
Seems that the poperty is not enough as the NC10 doesn't have a proper acpi-backend to support it, if i understand that correctly?

What i don't understand is, from the changelog:
Matthias Hopf (7):
Add HP Mini 5101 to quirks list.
Add BACKLIGHT property support in KMS case.
Don't ignore backlight level change to the same level.
Add get_property support.
Use "Backlight" as backlight brightness property.
Don't set backlight level if going on->on.
Add new backlight driver "samsung".

Just updated the BIOS to version 11CA.
I can confirm that 'nc10-backlight' is no more needed with this BIOS version, backlight control works out of the box. :)

Anyway, I'll continue to provide the 'nc10-backlight' package for karmic on my repository, for users that need/want to use other BIOS versions.

Hi all.
I have a problem with Karmic, the nc10-scripts does not work and most of Fn-keys don't work. I don't understand because I had no problem with Jaunty.
If somebody can help me...

The problem should be fixed now, there was a typo in a control file of the package which did not register the hotkeys correctly.

Don't seem to have the battery Fn key working. Known problem?

@voRia: Thanks voRia, it works perfectly right now.
@marks: the Fn key for the battery works "out of the box", it's weird.

It should, mine was working until I upgraded to Karmic and now it doesn't :( Hence the question.

And now this morning it's working again, as far as I know nothing changed so maybe an intermittent problem.
