Linux On My Samsung

its having a poor power management yar......i really canot manage it for more than 2.5-3 hours i want it to work for atleast 5 hours as it worked fine for more than 6 hours on xp.....please tell me how

Please use readable colors in your posts.

You can do little optimizations in order to save a little amount of power with linux, but the battery life will always be shorter than on windows.

Try to install and configure laptop-mode-tools.

Why it so?

Because even applying all the tips for powersaving I've heard of, the battery life is yet a bit shorter with Linux. So this is the best we can have for now.
