Projector state of problems voRia vs Jaunty

Post by FabriceV »

Hello,
In the past, I have avoided such kind of purely personal question.
I am a teacher and my first course with projection is on Monday.
Do users have experienced problems using projector either using voRia script or Jaunty?
I need absolute stability (do not want to stop a course because of a crash...).

I have to reinstall Jaunty this weekend (I have used the NC10 to test distribution during the holidays) with or without voRia... In case no one has recent experience, of course I can use first Jaunty and eventually voRia repositories later...

Have a good weekend.

Hi,
I'm sorry but my only experience with the VGA output is by using my 19" lcd monitor at home, which uses pretty standard resolutions, so I don't know how much it can be useful.

Anyway, I can say that the intel driver 2.8.1 works good with kernel 2.6.31, I've worked on my 19" monitor for long times with no problems at all.

Hope this is in time: I have had no problems with a projector, nor with my own samsung and all the Voria updates last week, nor a friend of mine that used a fresh Jaunty install and used this with a projector on his wedding this weekend.
