Samsung N128 UNR 9.10 Fn+* problem.

Postby ratnik » 20/03/2010, 5:54

Hi All,

First post here - really pleased to have found this resource.

I've got a Samsung N128, installed UNR 9.10 on it - everything I've tested is working now apart from the backlight.

More specifically, the key combination of Fn + UP or DOWN does not make the screen brighter or dimmer.

I've added the voria-ppa-karmic repository and installed what I think are the right samung packages:

Code: Select all

sudo aptitude search samsung
i   samsung-backlight                                      - Backlight support for the latest kernel on Samsung netbooks.
i A samsung-backlight-2.6.31-20                            - Backlight support for Samsung netbooks
i   samsung-scripts                                        - Scripts for Samsung netbooks
p   samsung-wireless                                       - Realtek 8192E wireless driver for the latest kernel for Samsung
p   samsung-wireless-2.6.31-20                             - Realtek 8192E wireless driver for kernel 2.6.31-20 for Samsung n

and as some other people have asked for similar queries, here is the output of:

Code: Select all
