Re: Do you plane to add quantal support to your PPA?
Backlight decreases only 2 step and stops. With "acpi_backlight=vendor" added everything becomes terrible: i can decrease brighness but can't increase it at all.
I can confirm this to my RV520. The same issue. As workaround you can plug off the AC power and plug in again, then the brightness ...

Samsung RV520
Backlight automaticly chances from max brightness at ac power to less brightness in battery power and back. Before that update it had remain in less brightness, also after waking up from standby.
But again no brightness control manually with nvidia card :(

Hi Kiesel,
thanks for reminiding for this topic. I have bought this RV520 since 3 months. Ubuntu 11.04 is running with that well, but the backlight will be stay unsatisfactory. Maybe, I'm not a "professional" - the backlight won't be adjustable. So with AC power the backlight will be stay at 100 ...

Here are the state of my Samsung RV520 (Natty, Xubuntu64)

Re: HOWTO: Use the repository on K/Ubuntu 9.10 and 10.04
This is strange.
Well, use this command to manually add the GPG key for the repository:
sudo apt-key adv --keyserver keyserver.ubuntu.com --recv 1E5F36F0 then update the packages index:
sudo apt-get update
This command might be a little bi different, but its works well! :)
Thank you a lot ...

I add a question to that topic for the NC10:
In Lucid I can change only the fan behaivor silent, normal, fast. In Karmic I can change the cpu throttle between powersaving, on demand and performance. This was more useful for me than fanspeed. In battery mode only the powersaving mode is available ...
