What progress are you waiting for? Enjoy the work Fortunato (and team?) did for 11.04! Everything working, everything fine on my N130 (no BIOS-Update!) with Natty.
Kernel 2.6.38 contributed to this success by performing no more S-ATA freezes - seems there is no more extra-kernel ...

doesn't your keyboard have a "disable touchpad" function on Fn-F10? That's what does the job on my N130 (besides the Mouse settings, of standard Ubuntu, of course...).
And the pictures of the N150 keypad I find on the Internet show this key as well.
Give it a try ;-)

do you have the current kernel? The "serious kernel problem" message on my netbook had already disappeared after the installation of the Ubuntu-kernel 2.6.32-21 from the official repositories... before installing the one by voRia.

yesterday was a lucky day for me and my N130 - ubuntuusers.de showed me the way to this site.

I bought the N130 some weeks ago and immediately wiped Win 7 Starter from the HDD, replacing it with Mandriva 2010 in varieties - from PowerPack to MUD LXDE Edition ...
