Linux On My Samsung

Runtu-lite 14.04.01 (lubuntu clone). Samsung N210.
Problem only with sound control: Fn -> / <-

I reinstall 'samsung-backlight' as you wrote. After that, the brightness control is not working only.

I have the same problem on N210 (kernel 2.6.32-23, installed today) with Wlan, CPU fan control and Brightness control. After this step

In the meanwhile, uninstall 'easy-slow-down-manager' ('samsung-tools' will be also automatically uninstalled), then reinstall 'samsung-tools'...
only Brightness ...
