Linux On My Samsung

Latest Maverick kernel, namely 2.6.35-24, prevents backlight control to work in my N150+ Samsung netbook.
I've manually modprobe'd the modules with debug=1 but I haven't noticed anything weird :?

To date, I've been using the modules installed with voRia kernels with latest Ubuntu kernels ...

I'm using the Voria kernel under Maverick, but I think my question applies to older versions, too.

The thing is that the last Voria kernel available for Maverick is 2.6.35-22.36, but the latest Maverick kernel from Ubuntu is 2.6.35-23.40. I know this is not a problem since the Voria ...

I should add the after rebooting my samsung, i need to apply the work around again. Rebooting seems to undo it :(

Do you mean your /etc/modprobe.d/psmouse.whatever gets erased in each reboot? That doesn't happen in my Maverick :? BTW, in Maverick, "whatever" must be "conf", so the file should be ...
