Re: Let's add support to other Samsung netbooks
I have newly bought Samsung N145Plus Notebook. It fails to work with samsung-backlight driver (both version, one from voria ubuntu ppa and another from github). The problem is that we don't have this device in samsung_dmi_table. After some tweaking I have added code to support it { .ident = "N...

You've got already the answer :Kizikhi wrote: No such a thing? Ok, then what is it? - Options: normal | silent | speed | cycle | hotkey | status
It's just a convenient function used by the Fn-F8 hotkey to select the next mode.

Re: fans always on
As I understood here is one important thing. If I want the fan should work in cycle (accelerate and decelerate the rotation automatically by itself), I should turn it on in the cycle mode by command samsung-tools --cpu cycle Am I right? I think so but i 've never tested this option. It could be use...

Re: Hard drives stops responding when on battery
Wow  Very strange issue, i will report here if i find something to help you. I would say that your hard disk falls to sleep mode because of the battery mode for powersaving. The fact is it doesn't wake up. ACPI would be a good way to start research about this issue. Could you put here the infor...

If you really want to test unstable releases safely, use a virtual disk (Virtual box) or an another hard disk.

Re: Natty and Voria
I am testing Ubuntu Natty Beta-1 and cannot install the Voria Samsung PPA Tools on my box. As there is less than a month before the final release of Natty, it would be nice if we could test the Samsung tools/backlight/... during that period, so that e know if anything must be altered. A. Yeah it wo...
