Re: fans always on

Whatever your think it's still a beta version. You know what does it mean ? You know also that something right with beta 1 could be broken with beta 2 ? Problem here is not the computer or OS, it's the user. Seriously, i mean, we don't even know if Voria got the time to test 11.04 and work on some m...

Hi.

Downgrade to 10.10 and stop using beta versions if you don't want to bring bugs in your operating system.

Re: N145 changes it`s brightness by itself...

Hi, try this : I can confirm that if I tell Ubuntu to unload the module before suspend and reload it after restore the blinking occuring sometimes after restoring is gone. To do so, edit (or create) a file called /etc/pm/config.d/unload_modules that file must contain a variable declaration and a lis...

Re: Problem installing ubuntu 11.04

Why did you do that ?

Ubuntu 11.04 is still in beta version :-\

If you want to these versions use a virtual machine with softwares like virtualbox, it's safe.

Which way did you choose to upgrade to 11.04

Did you try to boot from 11.04 live CD ?

Re: N350 wireless under Debian. What Chipset?

Hi.

First check if your wifi chipset is active or not.

Open a console and type :

Code: Select all

iwconfig
If not, you have to identify your wifi chipset.

Type this if it's a usb device :

Code: Select all

lsusb
or an internal device :

Code: Select all

lspci | grep -i net

Re: Samsung NF310 brightness

Hi Ravi, well, i don't really see the problem, it's the same thing for me. Even with Windows, you've got eight brightness levels (at computer boot too) The only solution would be to modify the brightness level scale but i don't know how and if it's possible or not. Run some searches about that ;) Re...
