Re: Brightness Control not working anymore, after last updat

Then your problem is probably caused by samsung-laptop, which also has been updated yesterday. Try to add the option "acpi_backlight=vendor" to the kernel command line. If the problem is not fixed, then remove samsung-laptop and test if the original version shipped with the ubuntu kernels ...

Re: Brightness Control not working anymore, after last updat

samsung-tools has nothing to do with brightness control (Fn-Up and Fn-Down).

Try to add the option "acpi_backlight=vendor" to the kernel command line, this should fix the problem.

Re: About new samsung tools (with samsung-laptop)

The 'samsung-laptop' module currently available on the main PPA supports only a restrict number of laptop models.

Please test the new 'samsung-laptop' available on my testing repository.

Re: Question Update - PPA Voria Archive

Yes, that's normal.
All the packages on the main repository are made available to fix problems and/or provide new functionalities for Samsung netbooks/notebooks.

You can keep the repository enabled and get updates from it. ;)

Re: Question Update - PPA Voria Archive

I use that repository for testing new packages, but also for keeping other personal stuff unrelated to the "Linux On My Samsung" project. I suggest to remove it from your software sources, because it may also contain broken packages from time to time. To do so, just delete the file '/etc/a...
