Mercury cannot load webcam

I can use my webcam with luvcview but mercury cant detect webcam. A screenshot added to massage, look below.

I don;t have experience with this software but I have noticed that the webcam does not work in flash plugins such as those for image capture in facebook (to change your profile pic). In those instances I use cheese to take the snap and then upload instead.
