What I do wrong?
(32bit for NC10)
Code: Select all
captain@orion:~$ sudo apt-get install --reinstall --allow-unauthenticated voria-ppa-keyring
Paketlisten werden gelesen... Fertig
Abhängigkeitsbaum wird aufgebaut
Status-Informationen einlesen... Fertig
E: Paket voria-ppa-keyring konnte nicht gefunden werden -> "Packet voria-ppa-keyring don't found".
captain@orion:~$
In the 64bit-repo I have no problems.

I've removed the package 'voria-ppa-keyring' because it's no more needed.
Take a look at the new instructions in the first post of this thread.
Please consider a little donation to keep the 'Linux On My Samsung' project up and running. Thank you!

That I had read, but in synaptic I get warnings, that the 32bit repo is "unauthorized".

This is strange.
Well, use this command to manually add the GPG key for the repository:
Code: Select all
sudo apt-key adv --keyserver keyserver.ubuntu.com --recv 1E5F36F0
then update the packages index:

Hey there,
a couple of hours ago, I just installed any form of linux (10.04) for the first time in my life - and so far i really like the experience :-)
I put it on my n510 as i was too blown away by the Win7 performance.
Everything seems to be working fine, but still I cant get the Brightness Control to be working. All the other FN keycombinations are doing alright.
What am I missing?
I already tried your Repository and this

Thanks

The problem is related to the NVIDIA video card.
Make sure you are using the latest BIOS available from Samsung, other N510 users have reported it fixes the problem.

No Compiz at the installation. Have to install it manually after.

Hello,
New Kernel 2.6.32-23-generic from Voria's repository doesn't work on N220.
No Fn for brightness, ventilo, wifi
Fonctions unactivated in Samsung Tools.
Still works fine with 2.6.32-22.

I confirm what Steph says.. the backlight, brightness Fn keys and wireless keys do not work with the current kernel update 2.6.32-23-generic from the voria repo on Samsung N148 and N150.

Hi
I have problems with my new Samsung N220 Marvel and the Fn keys.
What does work:
Fn+F3 = webcam on/off
Fn+F5 = mute /unmute
Fn+Esc = sleep
Fn+F11 = numpad
Fn+right/left = volume
All other actions don't work with the Fn key.
I have installed samsung-tools and samsung-backlight.
If I start samsung-tools-preferences I can change the shortcuts for backlight, bluetooth, cpu, webcam, wlan,
i.g. Wlan = ctrl+F7 → Then this action works.
But I can't change the shortcut to „Fn+F7“. The Fn-key is not recognized!
Do you have a solution for this problem?
I'm using Kubuntu netbook 10.04; kernel 2.6.32-23-generic
Many thanks.
