The nc10-scripts package for jaunty is on my repository, are you sure that the repository was correctly added and enabled?
You can follow the instructions on the main post, the only difference is that you have to use these lines instead:

Code: Select all

deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/voria/ppa/ubuntu jaunty main
deb-src http://ppa.launchpad.net/voria/ppa/ubuntu jaunty main
Ok I downloaded nc10-scripts on your launchpad website, impossible to find it on synaptic and I have followed all the instructions... .
The proof is that gdebi told me I have a version in my repository... :/
Even now it is installed and I can't find it on synaptic.

Doesn't matter, now it's working ! Very useful to save battery life when you can't catch a wifi or when you don't have a BT cellphone !
Are there any other useful packages in your repository ? (cause I think I'll have to install them manually...)

I'm sorry, I have no idea, I'm not a KDE user.
Maybe someone else here can help you (I hope so, at least).

Sorry, only now I've noticed your message... I completely missed it :sleepy:
Anyway, it's strange what you're saying about synaptic. My advice is to not use the 'quick search' field, instead use the 'search' button for searching packages. Then use the 'quick search' field to filter results.

I don't know what packages are 'useful', it all depends on your needs. :)
If you are on jaunty, you can install the nc10-fb package to have a nicer usplash and virtual terminals experience (follow the instructions in this thread).
If you want to enable the FN-F4 key, then take a look at the arandr package and at this thread. If you want to use your wireless card as an Access Point, then install the hostapd package (for instructions on how to use it, ask google).
You can find a list of all packages on my repository here.

Maybe i'm blind, but I just saw this afternoon that you made some update to your files and I don't find anywhere what you have changed. Can you describe me your last changelog please?

we should remove two patches from gnome-power-manager in order to have better handling for the fn keys, https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/345318

which patch? gnome-power-manager just required those two patches removed, not something added!

Removing those patches will result in this bug again.
Instead, I just reworked the formulas in '90-Add-guarded-brightness-stepping-functions.patch' for calculating the adjustment steps.
