As in the title of this post on my NC10, upgraded from 9.10 to 10.04, the new Ubuntu Splash logo and progress throbber is not being shown at boot. It is occasionally shown at shutdown or restart.
My boot progress goes from grub2 to a blank screen with a single underscore cursor at top left and then in fades the login gui. The expected purple screen with the new Ubuntu logo and the five white-changing-to-orange progress throbbers is never shown.
Has anyone else seen, or not seen, this problem? If so is there a fix? Or is this a limitation of the performance of the NC10 andthe speed of boot to the login screen?
Thoughts?

Same here.
I think there is yet work to do to get a perfect plymouth experience, I'm sure it will be fixed in time for the official Lucid release.
