np350v5c overheating / fan speed not changing

Hi,

i've got this samsung np350v5c notebook, running archlinux, samsung-tools installed ..

if i try to change the fan-speed it has no effect whatsoever. it always runs very slow and if i try to do some cpu intensive work, the machine gets hot very quickly but the fan speed does not change at all.

samsung_laptop module is loaded, but even running "samsung-tools -c overclock" does NOT change the fan speed at all.
